AP’s Leaders Attain Industry Recognition

PHOENIX, September 29, 2022 – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) celebrates three team members’ awards and recognition from leading industry organizations. AP’s Molly Ahrens, Kelly Salvione and Michael Smith earned recognition for their expertise and contributions at AP in the Southwest region. The team members were honored by separate companies, including AZ Big Media, the Arizona chapter of NAIOP and the Arizona Business Alliance (ABA).

“At AP, we are building a best-in-class team to support the clients and markets that we serve,” said Rob Cortazzo, AP’s regional president. “The recognition given from these industry organizations to Kelly, Michael and Molly reaffirms the steps we are taking to grow our talent from within and to continue adding quality people to our ever-growing team.”

AZ Big Media recently named Salvione, director of project operations, as one of its People to Know (PTK) in Commercial Real Estate, an award that spotlights Arizona’s most influential commercial real estate professionals who define the industry. Since joining AP in 2017 as the team’s youngest project manager, Salvione has added and established new business relationships while overseeing projects that resulted in increased revenues and continued work opportunities. Her achievements earned her a position on both the executive operations and senior leadership teams as well as a promotion to her current role. She has made tremendous contributions to AP Southwest’s growth and success over the past five years and continues to do so as AP enhances its services in current markets and expands into new ones. Salvione will be recognized at AZ Big Media’s awards ceremony in November 2022.

Ahrens, marketing manager, was selected to participate in NAIOP’s Young Professional Group (YPG), which is designed to educate, develop, connect and elevate the next generation of commercial real estate leaders. Since joining AP’s marketing team in March 2022, Ahrens has made key contributions to AP’s marketing strategy across the southwest and strengthened the marketing team’s dynamics. As a part of NAIOP’s YPG, Ahrens will attend six classes over the course of four months and participate in a case study involving all aspects of a real estate deal, beginning with site selection and ending with the disposition of an asset. In December 2022, Ahrens will graduate from the program, present her case study findings and apply what she learned to further her and AP’s trajectory of success.

The ABA selected Smith, project executive, to join its Senior Executive Program (SEP) and collaborate with top industry influencers to promote ongoing management and leadership training for all senior members within the ABA. In his role at AP, Smith embodies senior leadership by actively pursuing new business, maintaining existing relationships, and expertly leading those around him. With 33 years of industry experience, Smith is one of 20 members strategically included in the program to share and develop senior executive-level responsibilities. During the SEP, Smith will collaborate with fellow participants to deliver dynamic, interactive and collaborative experiences meant to expand personal and professional opportunities within Arizona. He will complete the program in December 2022.

AP is proud to harness the talent of these individuals to progress as a company. Through these awards and recognitions, this trio of talent further establishes AP in the industry and as community leaders.
