Bud Werner Memorial Library Addition and Renovation

This project involved remodeling and renovating the library’s existing 9,344-sf facility for administrative offices and a community room, plus an addition of approximately 26,395-sf for collections and service departments.
The addition portion of this project was completed while the existing library was fully operational so all utility shutdowns and changes in access had to be planned out with the library director and communicated to the patrons in advance to avoid confusion and limit patron complaints. Some of the noisy and disruptive activities were scheduled for a swing shift or night shift to minimize interference with staff and patrons.
