Overview

Mid Cities Logistics is a Class A industrial development located on a 65 acre site in southeast Fort Worth. The project includes five tilt wall distribution buildings totaling 908,300 square feet of core and shell space designed to support storage, distribution, and light manufacturing operations. Construction involved significant site development, including mass grading, 9,500 linear feet of retaining walls, 372 tilt wall panels totaling approximately 400,000 square feet, and more than 52,000 cubic yards of concrete

More about the project

Due to the project’s scale and multiple buildings being constructed simultaneously, the team managed complex logistics including coordinated crane paths, high volume concrete pours, and tight site constraints. Additional challenges included maintaining access around an existing gas well, coordinating with Texas Department of Transportation for the construction of a Highway 180 deceleration lane, relocating an existing tenant structure, and working around underground utilities and a 16 inch city water line relocation. Through careful planning, coordination with local agencies, and efficient construction sequencing, the team successfully delivered a large scale industrial development built to support growing distribution demands.

As told by our clients

From the outset, the AP team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail. Not only did this project require extremely detailed planning to execute the pouring and erection of 377 tilt wall panels, but also steel erection for multiple buildings simultaneously around tight logistical constraints with a total of 1.5 miles of stone gravity retaining wall and crane path coordination. Additionally, AP's team professionally navigated working with the city on numerous permits associated with the project.

Throughout the process, AP maintained excellent communication, keeping me informed and acting as a true partner at every stage of the project. Their ability to address challenges proactively and implement innovative solutions contributed significantly to the overall success of the project.
