Adams 12 STEM Lab School Renovation Phase 2

This two-year reconstruction of the STEM Lab school involved an occupied renovation of a 46-year-old school building. Phase 1 involved construction and renovation to the school’s east wing and phase 2 focused on the demolition and reconstruction of the school’s west wing.   The school remained open during the construction process with students and staff shifting from one side of the school to the other to accommodate the construction phases. The center portion of the building included a new library, science rooms, art rooms, gymnasium, cafeteria and music rooms for shared student use. The project followed the CHPS guidelines and included unique design and sustainability features such as reclaimed bleacher wood from the old school gym.
