Overview

AP completed the corporate office for Apache Corporation in Midland, Texas. The approximately 85,000 square foot facility is a three story tilt wall office building designed to support daily operations while providing a wide range of amenities for employees. The building includes a conference center, cafeteria and dining areas, a fitness center with locker rooms, a physician’s clinic, and an on site daycare facility dedicated exclusively to the children of Apache employees.

More about the project

The interior office environment features a combination of open work areas with workstations and private offices arranged throughout the building. Additional spaces include company break rooms, large and small conference and huddle rooms with operable partitions that allow the rooms to be separated or combined as needed, and a kitchen and cafeteria area designed with flexibility to convert into a large assembly space for company wide meetings and events. The facility also includes a franchised daycare center that provides convenient childcare for employees.

Employee comfort was a key consideration in the interior design. Lighting and acoustics were carefully integrated throughout the workspace, including fully dimmable LED lighting in open office areas and indirect cove lighting in common spaces. Private offices located along the building perimeter feature full glass window walls with manual window shades, allowing natural light to flow throughout the interior while maintaining flexibility for privacy and glare control.
