Chadron State College Armstrong Gymnasium and Chicoine Center Addition and Renovations

Located in the southeast quadrant of the Chadron State College Campus, this project involved a renovation of the 50-year-old existing building and expanded Chadron’s athletic facilities. Phase one included the 51,000-sf athletics strength and conditioning center, which involved renovating and converting the existing 6,300-sf natatorium to serve as the new home for athletics training. The first phase also included the new 32,000-sf, 2,100-seat Chicoine Center Arena with a lobby, circulation spaces, a hall of fame area, locker rooms, fan amenities and support spaces.

Phase two (approximately 46,000-sf) centered around the coach’s office complex and football locker rooms to include a new strength and conditioning center. AP constructed new coach’s offices, meeting rooms and a sports medicine area with support spaces.
