Overview

The Methodist Medical Center Southlake medical campus is a comprehensive healthcare development that includes a surgical hospital, a medical office building, and a structured parking garage. The campus was developed on a 15 acre site and required extensive site preparation due to expansive soil conditions. The building pad was excavated to a depth of 12 feet and reconditioned to meet required moisture and compaction standards. Additional infrastructure improvements included installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities, an underground stormwater detention system, and more than 239,000 square feet of concrete paving to support the new medical campus.

More about the project

The campus also includes a four story medical office building totaling approximately 88,000 square feet. The cast in place structure features a façade composed of stucco, masonry veneer, metal wall panels, and curtain wall systems, with stone veneer selected to complement the aesthetic of the hospital. Designed by GSR Andrade Architects, the building includes a grand entrance atrium, elevator core, public circulation areas, and shell space designed for future clinical tenants. A two story enclosed connector links the medical office building directly to the hospital, providing convenient access for physicians, staff, and patients.

Supporting the campus is a four story, 133,000 square foot structured parking garage constructed with a post tension cast in place structure on piers. The garage features site cast concrete panels finished with stucco and stone veneer and provides approximately 394 parking spaces for visitors, patients, and staff. Together, these facilities create a modern medical campus designed to deliver advanced healthcare services while supporting future growth in the Southlake community.
