Orville Freeman Office Building

This project for the State of Minnesota included seven stories with a partial basement and penthouse. The 330,000-sf structure was completed in 16 months. The exterior envelope included precast panels and glazing systems. 18,000 sf of terrazzo covers the semi-public floor at the entrance level. A majority of the floor in the working office space has a raised access flooring designed to simplify the ease of wiring changes in the future. Two 90-ft atriums divide the building into three sections to promote the use of natural light in everyday activities.
