Overview

This renovation project at St. Monica Catholic School included upgrades to corridors, restrooms, and 36 classrooms to enhance the learning environment and building performance. Improvements to the classrooms included installation of new rooftop HVAC units and ductwork, as well as a new exterior glazing system to improve energy efficiency and comfort. Site work included upgrades to sidewalks to meet accessibility standards and the installation of new fencing to create a more secure campus environment.

More about the project

During preconstruction, the project team worked closely with school administrators to provide ongoing budget and schedule guidance. By helping the school organize its campus improvement priorities into phased project scopes, the parish was able to align funding with its capital campaign goals and move forward with construction once funding was secured. The team then collaborated with the architect and client to carefully manage costs and maintain the established budget.

Construction was completed during the school’s summer break to minimize disruption to students and staff. Despite the addition of new scope during construction, the project was successfully delivered within the tight schedule, allowing the upgraded facilities to be ready for the start of the new academic year.
