Using its expertise in winter mountain construction, AP built this new award-winning, two-story elementary school. Silverthorne Elementary has 24 classrooms, a library, several multi-use rooms, a cafeteria, a gym, and a county bike path bisecting the 5-acre site, which will be shared with the town for future community development. Architecturally, the school boasts 80-foot skylights and glulam wood canopies at entries as well as numerous sustainable design features to conserve energy.
