Overview

AP Construction delivered a state-of-the-art Aquatic Center for Lewisville Independent School District, designed to support both competitive athletics and community use. At the time of construction, the facility was one of only two in Texas to feature a Myrtha pool system, known for its high-performance design and competitive advantages.

The 1,200-seat facility includes two pools: a 50-meter competition pool designed for swimming and diving events, and a secondary pool for warm-ups and community programming. Supporting amenities include locker rooms, a community classroom, and a weight room, creating a well-rounded environment for student-athletes and the broader community.

More about the project

The facility was thoughtfully designed to enhance both performance and user experience, with large north-facing windows that provide abundant natural light while minimizing glare. An advanced HVAC system improves energy efficiency by capturing heat removed during air cooling and dehumidification to warm the pool water. Additionally, the Myrtha system’s overflow gutter design supports faster, more competitive swimming conditions.

This project showcases AP’s expertise in delivering specialized athletic facilities that combine performance, sustainability, and community impact.
