Overview

AP Construction completed a multi-campus addition and renovation project as part of Garland Independent School District’s Bid Package 3.3, delivering upgrades and new learning spaces at Luna Elementary School, Abbett Elementary School, and Hudson Middle School.

More about the project

At Hudson Middle School, AP constructed a two-story, 37,801-square-foot addition featuring new classrooms, a media center, a STEM lab, a music room, an art room, and administrative spaces. Renovations to 13,041 square feet of the existing school included a new roof, updated flooring, and life safety upgrades. Phase two of the project added site improvements, including playground pits, landscaping, and sidewalks, all completed while the school remained fully operational.

Abbett Elementary School received interior renovations to classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and administrative offices, along with site accessibility upgrades. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were replaced or upgraded to support ADA compliance and new equipment installation.

At Luna Elementary School, AP delivered comprehensive renovations, including fine arts areas, new mechanical and HVAC systems (RTUs, FCUs, fans), updated electrical and fire suppression systems, renovated restrooms, ADA-compliant doors and hardware, a secure vestibule, and security upgrades. Additional improvements included roof repairs, new flooring, labs, and interior finishes for classrooms, hallways, and administrative offices.
