Overview

AP Construction completed a 71,700-square-foot, four-story connector that enhances collaboration and innovation across multiple academic and research disciplines. The project links key campus facilities while housing advanced programs focused on space exploration, emerging technologies, high-performance computing, and biomedical research.

More about the project

The facility includes specialized environments such as the Center for Space Exploration, dedicated to rocket propulsion and energy engineering research, and the W.M. Keck Center for 3-D Innovation, which supports cutting-edge work in rapid manufacturing, optics, lasers, and electronics. Additional components include a research and academic data center designed to support high-capacity computing, as well as a biomedical and bioinformatics annex featuring wet and dry labs for the study of biomaterials, tissue engineering, and healthcare delivery in low-resource settings. The facility also supports the development of low-cost prosthetic limbs and advanced biomedical engineering research focused on diagnostics, imaging, and improving patient outcomes.

This complex, multi-phase project demonstrates our ability to deliver highly technical, research-driven environments while maintaining safety, coordination, and continuity within an active campus setting.
