Northridge High School Renovation

The Northridge High School Renovation project was a pivotal step in fulfilling District 6’s mission of providing personalized, comprehensive education within a secure and nurturing high school environment.

With AP in a design-assist role, the 199,358-square-foot facility catering to 1,139 students underwent a transformation. Key enhancements included bolstered security measures at all entry points, featuring secure vestibules and upgraded doors for both administrative and student access areas. Extensive renovations encompassed the complete polishing, grinding, and staining of all concrete floors across communal spaces, auditoriums, and gymnasiums; complete building chiller system replacement and numerous exhaust fan replacements with TAB of entire building. The existing fire alarm system was demoed and replaced along with upgrades to the complete fire suppression system.

Originally planned as a two-summer renovation, our team proposed and executed a single-summer renovation. Overall, the Northridge High School Renovation project stands as a testament to AP’s unwavering commitment to being good stewards of budget while elevating the educational experience and prioritizing safety for a diverse student body and dedicated staff.
