More about the project
Due to the site’s dramatic north-to-south elevation change, the building was constructed directly into solid limestone, requiring advanced excavation, soil retention, and waterproofing strategies. Half of the structured parking garage sits below grade while the upper levels rise alongside the main building, connected by a balcony that provides seamless access for employees and visitors.
A major design priority was maximizing natural light throughout the interior. Large curtain walls, three prominent skylights, and cast-in-place window openings in the foundation walls flood the space with daylight—enhancing both the workplace and medical environments. Natural stone, rich wood veneers, and integrated LED lighting create a warm, refined interior experience, establishing the facility as STA’s flagship location and prototype for future developments.
Despite record-setting rainfall and 63 weather-impacted days, the project team implemented an extensive site dewatering system and utilized a top-down construction strategy to accelerate progress. The building was completed nearly seven weeks ahead of schedule, demonstrating proactive planning, technical expertise, and disciplined execution.
